In contrast, mid-cap stocks rallied, with the VNMIDCAP index rising 1.10 percent.
Trading value hits VND 43.56 trillion
Total market trading volume reached 1.77 billion shares, with a total value of VND 43.56 trillion or US$1.68 billion. Order matching alone accounted for VND 42 trillion or US$1.62 billion. The most actively traded stocks were SHB (181 million shares), HPG (86.8 million), and VPB (65.6 million).
Foreign investors net sellers
Foreign investors sold VND 5.28 trillion (US$203 million) and bought VND 3.35 trillion (US$129 million), resulting in a net sell of VND 1.93 trillion (US$74.4 million). They offloaded 61.6 million shares net, marking their heaviest day of selling in weeks. VPB, CTG, and KBC were the most traded stocks by foreign investors, while VIC, VPB, and FRT saw the highest net buys.
