The VN-Index slipped 6.89 points, or 0.42 percent, to 1,645.82 with trading value reaching VND 24.56 trillion (US$930.3 million), according to the latest data from the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange → view source.
The VN30 index was flat, down just 0.02 percent, while mid- and small-cap segments saw sharper declines, with VNMIDCAP losing 1.47 percent and VNSMALLCAP down 1.03 percent.
Sector performance was mixed: information technology rose 1.21 percent and real estate gained 1.38 percent, while energy, financials, and materials all declined.
Trading volume totalled 918.6 million shares worth VND 24.74 trillion (US$937.1 million).
SHB led liquidity with 71.6 million shares traded, followed by HPG and VIX.
Among notable movers, ANV surged 6.93 percent, while BCG dropped 6.98 percent.
Foreign investors remained net sellers, offloading VND 3.80 trillion (US$144.0 million) against VND 2.58 trillion (US$97.7 million) in buys, resulting in a net outflow of VND 1.22 trillion (US$46.2 million).
Heavy trading was seen in FPT, MWG, VIC, VHM, and HPG. Net buying was strongest in VIC, FPT, HPG, VHM, and VPB.
