Samsung Vietnam forecasts US$8 billion drop in exports in 2023

Samsung Vietnam is aiming to export US$57 billion worth of goods this year, VN Express is reporting. This is US$8 billion less than the US$65 billion it exported in 2022.

Why it matters: Samsung Vietnam accounted for almost 20 percent of Vietnam’s total exports (US$371 billion) in 2022. A drop of this magnitude, around 2 percent of Vietnam’s total exports, is likely to be felt in the Vietnamese economy broadly.
