Resources: Australia, Japan top export destinations for Vietnam crude oil in July

Vietnam’s crude oil exports reached $138,569,560 in July 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

This represents a significant 93.32 percent increase compared to June, and this strong performance contributed to a year-to-date total of $791,855,863.

Here are the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s crude oil exports in July 2025:

Australia

Australia was Vietnam’s largest export market for crude oil in July, with values soaring to $50,882,450.

This marks a 40.28 percent month-on-month increase from June.

Australia’s year-to-date total stands at $350,541,740, accounting for 44.27 percent of all YTD crude oil exports.

Japan

Japan was the second-largest destination, with July exports valued at $46,124,610.

This is a significant increase from zero exports in June.

Japan’s year-to-date total for these exports is $46,124,610, making up 5.82 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.

Thailand

Thailand secured the third position in July with exports totaling $22,092,800.

This indicates a -5.72 percent month-on-month change.

Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s crude oil exports is $296,087,733, making up 37.39 percent of the total YTD exports.

Singapore

Singapore contributed $19,469,700 worth of crude oil in July.

This country saw a significant increase from zero exports in June.

Singapore’s year-to-date total for these exports is $19,469,700, representing 2.46 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.
