Motorbikes: Vietnam output up 5.8 percent in first eight months of 2025

Vietnam’s motorbike production in August 2025 was estimated at 310,700 units, slightly down from 312,300 units in July.

According to the latest data from Vietnam’s National Statistics Office, August output rose 9.1 percent year-on-year.

For the January–August 2025 period, cumulative production reached 2.19 million units, an increase of 5.8 percent compared with the same period in 2024.

The growth reflects steady domestic demand alongside Vietnam’s role as a key export hub for major motorbike manufacturers.

The slight month-on-month dip points to production adjustments, but the year-to-date rise confirms the sector’s resilience amid fluctuating consumer markets.

Motorbike production remains a vital part of Vietnam’s manufacturing base, serving both domestic transportation needs and global exports.
