Vietnam’s mobile phone industry
Vietnam’s mobile phone manufacturing industry is a major component of the country’s export-oriented industrial base, producing devices primarily for overseas markets.
It has expanded rapidly on the back of large-scale foreign direct investment, integrated supply chains and a competitive manufacturing cost structure.
Production is concentrated in northern industrial zones, supported by improving infrastructure, skilled labour and proximity to regional electronics ecosystems.
The sector remains sensitive to global demand cycles, supply chain shifts and changes in trade policy, but continues to play a central role in Vietnam’s manufacturing growth.
