Despite the overall month-on-month decrease, several countries remain vital suppliers to Vietnam, with the year-to-date total for this product category standing at $459,011,583.
In June 2025, the top five sources by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of precious stones, precious metal and articles thereof were:
China
China emerged as the top supplier in June, with import values reaching $13,779,670.
This represents a 53.08 percent month-on-month change from May.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $62,685,547, accounting for 13.66 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Hong Kong
Hong Kong followed as the second-largest source, with June imports valued at $10,039,433.
This figure indicates a 2.45 percent month-on-month change.
Hong Kong’s year-to-date total for these imports is $67,121,126, representing 14.62 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
South Korea
South Korea secured the third position in June with imports totaling $8,862,263.
This indicates a -13.52 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of precious stones, precious metal and articles thereof is $60,109,869, making up 13.10 percent of the total YTD imports.
India
India contributed $6,199,444 worth of precious stones, precious metal and articles thereof in June.
Notably, India experienced a -32.91 percent month-on-month decrease.
India’s year-to-date total for these imports is $61,098,331, accounting for 13.31 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Japan
Japan rounded out the top five import sources with $5,714,850 in June imports.
This country showed strong positive momentum with an 8.93 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $28,843,438, representing 6.28 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
