Vietnam’s exports of machine, equipment, tools and instruments saw a significant increase in July 2025, reaching $5,309,444,041, a 10.74 percent increase compared to June 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
This positive month-on-month growth contributed to a year-to-date total for this product category, standing at $32,198,691,787.
In July 2025, the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s exports of machine, equipment, tools and instruments were:
USA
The USA was the top destination in July, with export values reaching $1,991,943,254.
This represents a -2.55 percent month-on-month decrease from June.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these exports stands at $13,297,103,430, accounting for 41.30 percent of all YTD exports in this category.
China
China followed as the second-largest destination, with July exports valued at $551,015,975.
This figure indicates a 6.28 percent month-on-month increase.
China’s year-to-date total for these exports is $2,860,031,111, representing 8.88 percent of the total YTD exports for this product category.
Hong Kong
Hong Kong secured the third position in July with exports totaling $454,697,319.
This indicates a significant 95.30 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s exports of machine, equipment, tools and instruments is $1,903,997,482, making up 5.91 percent of the total YTD exports.
South Korea
South Korea contributed $294,381,450 worth of these products in July.
Notably, South Korea experienced a 13.73 percent month-on-month increase.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these exports is $1,789,188,459, accounting for 5.56 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.
Japan
Japan rounded out the top five export destinations with $224,142,339 in July exports.
This country saw a 1.51 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these exports is $1,525,171,499, representing 4.74 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
