Despite this month-on-month decline, the year-to-date total for this product category stood at $780,635,081.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of glass and glassware were:
China
China was the top origin in July, with import values reaching $73,008,329.
This represents a -12.82 percent month-on-month decrease from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $519,282,402, accounting for 66.52 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Malaysia
Malaysia followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $10,138,754.
This figure indicates a -19.77 percent month-on-month decrease.
Malaysia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $68,367,198, representing 8.76 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
South Korea
South Korea secured the third position in July with imports totaling $7,517,167.
This indicates a 29.69 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of glass and glassware is $43,335,802, making up 5.55 percent of the total YTD imports.
Japan
Japan contributed $6,201,652 worth of glass and glassware in July.
Notably, Japan experienced a significant 79.08 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $38,770,546, accounting for 4.97 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Other
The “Other” category rounded out the top five import origins with $5,222,919 in July imports.
This category saw a 10.19 percent month-on-month increase.
The year-to-date total for this category is $30,652,014, representing 3.93 percent of the total YTD imports.
