USA
The USA followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $25,052,263.
This figure indicates a 5.72 percent month-on-month increase.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these imports is $124,750,164, representing 10.90 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Other
The “Other” category secured the third position in July with imports totaling $22,752,050.
This indicates a -1.55 percent month-on-month decrease.
The year-to-date contribution for this category is $126,957,893, making up 11.09 percent of the total YTD imports.
Australia
Australia contributed $13,552,389 worth of ferrous waste and scrap in July.
Notably, Australia experienced a massive 1069.02 percent month-on-month increase.
Australia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $79,848,552, accounting for 6.98 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Hong Kong
Hong Kong rounded out the top five import origins with $9,806,329 in July imports.
This country saw a -30.65 percent month-on-month decrease.
