The information and communication sector attracted US$102.93 million in foreign direct investment in March. This included 22 new projects valued at just US$2 million, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Breakdown by activity:
- 5 capital increases contributed a substantial US$95 million.
- 27 shareholding adjustments brought in a further US$6 million.
This capital expansion suggests broad investor interest in scaling up existing operations, particularly in tech-driven services like data processing, digital media and telecom infrastructure.
