Despite this month-on-month decline, the year-to-date total for this product category stood at $8,754,446,361.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of fabrics were:
China
China remained the dominant origin in July, with import values reaching $826,897,713.
This represents a -0.29 percent month-on-month change from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $5,989,515,149, accounting for 68.42 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
South Korea
South Korea followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $121,124,782.
This figure indicates a -7.62 percent month-on-month change.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these imports is $835,024,040, representing 9.54 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Taiwan
Taiwan secured the third position in July with imports totaling $117,756,881.
This indicates a 4.26 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of fabrics is $903,093,622, making up 10.32 percent of the total YTD imports.
Japan
Japan contributed $59,928,358 worth of fabrics in July.
Notably, Japan experienced a -8.38 percent month-on-month decrease.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $417,564,028, accounting for 4.77 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Thailand
Thailand rounded out the top five import origins with $18,492,317 in July imports.
This country saw a 2.80 percent month-on-month increase.
Thailand’s year-to-date total for these imports is $135,294,809, representing 1.55 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
