Vietnam’s milk industry

Vietnam’s fresh milk industry has grown rapidly over the past two decades, driven by rising incomes and changing consumer preferences.

Major domestic producers such as Vinamilk, TH True Milk, and Moc Chau Milk have invested heavily in expanding dairy farms, adopting advanced breeding technologies, and improving cold-chain logistics.

The industry, however, faces challenges from high feed costs, climate risks, and competition from imported dairy products.

Efforts are ongoing to improve productivity, promote sustainable practices, and develop value-added products such as organic and fortified milk to strengthen Vietnam’s position in the regional dairy market.
