Vietnam’s food and beverage (F&B) industry is one of the country’s fastest-growing sectors, driven by a young population, rising incomes, and expanding urbanisation.
The industry covers a wide range of products including processed foods, dairy, beverages, seafood, confectionery, and packaged goods, serving both domestic and export markets.
Strong consumer demand has attracted major local players such as Masan Group, Vinamilk, and Sabeco, alongside multinational firms like Nestlé, Coca-Cola, and Heineken.
Exports of processed foods and beverages continue to rise, supported by free trade agreements such as the CPTPP and EVFTA, which open access to global markets.
Key growth trends include increasing demand for convenience foods, health-oriented products, and premium beverages.
Challenges remain in supply chain efficiency, food safety compliance, and rising competition from imports.
Nonetheless, the F&B industry remains a cornerstone of Vietnam’s manufacturing base and a vital contributor to both employment and export earnings.
