Despite the marginal month-on-month decrease, several countries remain vital suppliers to Vietnam, with the year-to-date total for this product category standing at $288,564,668.
In June 2025, the top five sources by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of pastries, sweets and cereal products were:
China
China emerged as the top supplier in June, with import values reaching $9,723,158.
This represents a 0.29 percent month-on-month change from May.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $66,476,821, accounting for 23.04 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Indonesia
Indonesia followed as the second-largest source, with June imports valued at $9,011,559.
This figure indicates a -16.79 percent month-on-month change.
Indonesia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $55,277,527, representing 19.16 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Thailand
Thailand secured the third position in June with imports totaling $5,957,357.
This indicates a -1.20 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of pastries, sweets and cereal products is $31,581,760, making up 10.94 percent of the total YTD imports.
USA
The USA contributed $4,663,006 worth of pastries, sweets and cereal products in June.
Notably, the USA experienced a 9.67 percent month-on-month increase.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these imports is $31,201,463, accounting for 10.81 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Malaysia
Malaysia rounded out the top five import sources with $4,495,788 in June imports.
This country showed strong positive momentum with a 17.55 percent month-on-month increase.
Malaysia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $21,678,114, representing 7.51 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
