Vietnam recorded 206,168 tourist arrivals from Europe in November, reflecting a month-on-month increase of 44,450 visitors or 27.49 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Year-to-date, European arrivals totalled 1,782,578, representing a 23.6 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Among key contributors, France led with 33,027 visitors in November, a 44.16 percent increase from October. The UK followed closely with 31,398 arrivals, up 32.71 percent, and Russia saw 25,970 visitors, a 40.93 percent rise. Notable growth was also recorded from Italy, which experienced an 87.5 percent surge in tourist numbers, reaching 10,723 visitors.
Major airlines connecting Europe and Vietnam include Vietnam Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa, and Qatar Airways, offering direct flights from cities like Paris, London, Frankfurt, and Moscow to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The strong growth in European arrivals underscores Vietnam’s efforts in promoting itself as a travel destination. With a mix of cultural, historical, and leisure attractions, the country continues to attract a wide range of European travellers.
