Vietnam’s gasoline and oil production was estimated at 1.60 million tons in August 2025, slightly higher than 1.58 million tons in July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Output in August rose 1.6 percent year-on-year.
Over the first eight months of 2025, cumulative production reached 12.04 million tons, an increase of 6.6 percent compared with the same period in 2024.
Petrol remain critical for Vietnam’s economy, both as transport fuels and as industrial inputs, even as the government works to expand alternative energy sources.
