Education services’ prices in Vietnam were up by .14 percent in August over July, according to the General Department of Statistics’ Consumer Price Index data. This was in line with a year-on-year increase in education services’ prices of 7.8 percent.
In Vietnam, the cost of education services varies widely based on the type and level of institution. Public schools are generally affordable due to government subsidies, making them accessible to most families. Tuition fees for primary and secondary education in public institutions are relatively low, with higher education also remaining manageable for local students at public universities.
Private and international schools, however, are significantly more expensive, offering different curricula and facilities. These schools cater to families seeking specialised education or an international standard of learning. Beyond tuition, additional costs such as materials, uniforms, and extracurricular activities can also contribute to the overall expense.
