The State Bank of Vietnam set the central exchange rate at VND 25,112 per US dollar, down 16 dong or 0.06 percent from the previous day.
Google Finance’s mid-market rate inched up 2 dong to VND 26,345, while black market rates were unchanged at VND 26,830 for buying and VND 26,930 for selling.
The mid-market black rate held steady at VND 26,880, keeping the spread between the official and unofficial markets at VND 1,768 or 7.04 percent, slightly wider than the previous day’s 6.97 percent.

Short-term US dollar liquidity operations expanded sharply on 13 October 2025.
The State Bank of Vietnam conducted US$75.92 million in 7-day repos, up from US$9.67 million the previous day, and introduced additional 14-day, 28-day, and 91-day repos totalling about US$303.66 million.
No US dollar Treasury bills were issued during the session, indicating liquidity management focused entirely on repo instruments.

Interbank interest rates were mixed on 13 October 2025.
The overnight rate fell 18 basis points to 4.79 percent, while the one-week and two-week tenors also eased to 4.91 and 5.09 percent respectively.
The one-month rate rose slightly to 5.40 percent, and the six-month tenor climbed sharply by 80 basis points to 6.04 percent, indicating tighter liquidity at the longer end.
Rates for three- and nine-month terms were unchanged at 5.60 and 5.02 percent.
