Vietnam’s coal exports totaled $9,863,108 in July 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
This represents a 1.99 percent increase compared to June, which contributed to a year-to-date total of $73,047,244.
Here are the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s coal exports in July 2025:
Philippines
The Philippines was the largest destination for Vietnamese coal, with a total of $5,599,847 in July.
This value grew by a significant 19.67 percent month-on-month.
The year-to-date total for the Philippines stands at $21,572,012, accounting for 29.53 percent of all YTD exports.
Netherlands
The Netherlands was the second-largest destination, with July exports valued at $2,442,731.
This represents a remarkable 3062.56 percent month-on-month increase.
The Netherlands’ year-to-date total for these exports is $8,024,837, making up 10.99 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.
Thailand
Thailand secured the third position in July with exports totaling $807,550.
This indicates a 701.40 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s coal exports is $2,780,351, making up 3.81 percent of the total YTD exports.
South Korea
South Korea contributed $489,041 worth of coal in July.
This country saw a -4.85 percent month-on-month decrease.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these exports is $1,940,722, accounting for 2.66 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.
Indonesia
Indonesia rounded out the top five export destinations with $332,290 in July exports.
This country saw a -1.57 percent month-on-month decrease.
Indonesia’s year-to-date total for these exports is $8,446,296, representing 11.56 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
