Vietnam’s exports of chemical products reached US$261.60 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a marginal increase of 0.54 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$971.34 million.
Laos remains the top export market with slight growth:
Laos was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$65.67 million. This marks a slight increase of 1.34 percent from March and accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 25.42 percent.
China sees a decrease but remains a key market:
China was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$36.39 million, a decrease of 10.90 percent from the previous month. China accounts for 13.82 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Indonesia records significant growth:
Exports to Indonesia experienced a substantial increase of 38.61 percent in April, reaching US$28.25 million. Indonesia accounts for 9.76 percent of the year-to-date exports.
India sees moderate growth:
Exports to India rose by 7.64 percent in April, reaching US$13.89 million, contributing 5.01 percent to the year-to-date total.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Netherlands experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 399.31 percent, followed by Kazakhstan and Myanmar. Conversely, South Africa experienced the most significant decrease at 48.29 percent, followed by Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
