ToggleOn 23 October, the State Bank of Vietnam’s central exchange rate was VND 25,098 per US dollar, unchanged from the previous day.
Conversely, on the black market, the dong weakened, with buying at VND 27,520 and selling at VND 27,620, increasing 0.81 and 0.88 percent respectively, according to prices supplied by Ty Gia USD.
The black market mid-rate rose to VND 27,570 per US dollar, widening the spread with the official rate to VND 2,472 or 9.85 percent, up from 8.93 percent, yesterday.
The Google Finance mid-market rate edged up to VND 26,333 per US dollar, up 0.01 percent.

Seven-day repos issuances fell sharply to US$37.98 million from US$113.92 million.
Fourteen-day repos dropped to US$189.88 million from US$835.39 million.
Twenty-eight-day repos decreased to US$303.80 million from US$569.58 million.
Ninety-one-day repos also fell to US$37.98 million from US$569.58 million.
No new T-bills were issued.

Interbank rates
The overnight rate rose to 5.19 percent, up 0.22 percentage points from 4.97 percent.
The one-week rate increased to 5.34 percent, while the two-week rate edged up to 5.33 percent.
The one-month rate slipped slightly to 5.45 percent, and the three-month rate eased to 5.47 percent.
The six-month tenor was steady at 6.00 percent, while the nine-month rate fell sharply to 5.10 percent from 6.00 percent.
