Asian tourist arrivals in Vietnam grow by 19.85 percent in November

Vietnam recorded 1,357,769 tourist arrivals from Asia in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 224,897 visitors or 19.85 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, Asian arrivals totalled 12,614,542, reflecting a 43.3 percent year-on-year increase. Among the top contributors, China led with 339,399 arrivals in November, up 11.11 percent. Korea followed with 399,150 visitors, an 8.75 percent increase. Other notable growth was seen from Singapore, which surged by 95.88 percent to reach 48,446 arrivals, and Taiwan, with a 28.69 percent increase at 33,153 visitors.

Vietnam’s cultural cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, along with coastal destinations like Danang and Nha Trang, remain key attractions for Asian tourists.

Key airlines operating between Vietnam and Asian countries include Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, and international carriers such as Singapore Airlines and Korean Air. These airlines have bolstered connectivity between major cities, facilitating increased arrivals.

The consistent growth in Asian tourist numbers underscores Vietnam’s growing appeal and its strategic efforts in boosting tourism post-pandemic. With the sector showing strong momentum, the country is steadily recovering its position as a key travel destination in the region.
