Vietnam’s animal feed industry
Vietnam’s animal feed industry is one of the largest in Southeast Asia, supplying feed for pork, poultry, aquaculture and cattle production across the country.
The sector is driven by demand from commercial livestock farming and export-oriented aquaculture, but remains heavily dependent on imported raw materials such as corn and soybean meal.
Foreign-invested firms dominate large-scale compound feed production in Vietnam, while domestic producers focus more on regional distribution and niche segments.
Rising input costs, disease outbreaks and environmental regulations continue to shape investment decisions and margins across the animal feed value chain.
