Vietnam’s imports of Animal fodders and animal fodder materials saw a significant decline in June 2025, reaching $334,498,216, a -21.44 percent decrease compared to May 2025 according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Despite the overall month-on-month decrease, several countries remain vital suppliers to Vietnam, with the year-to-date total for this product category standing at $2,325,570,747.
In June 2025, the top five sources by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of Animal fodders and animal fodder materials were:
Argentina
Argentina emerged as the top supplier in June, with import values reaching $101,845,494.
This represents a -33.70 percent month-on-month change from May.
Despite this decrease, Argentina remains the dominant force in Vietnam’s animal fodder imports, contributing $937,054,498 to the year-to-date total, which accounts for an impressive 40.29 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
United States
The United States followed as the second-largest source, with June imports valued at $71,873,323.
This figure indicates a -25.68 percent month-on-month change.
The USA’s year-to-date total for animal fodder imports stands at $394,639,892, representing 16.97 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
China
China secured the third position in June with imports totaling $33,511,213.
Notably, China experienced a positive month-on-month growth of +12.39 percent, distinguishing itself from the overall downward trend.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s animal fodder imports is $166,436,588, making up 7.16 percent of the total YTD imports.
Brazil
Brazil contributed $25,917,620 worth of animal fodders and materials in June, experiencing a significant -41.44 percent month-on-month decline.
Despite this monthly drop, Brazil remains a crucial year-to-date supplier with $301,429,896 in imports, accounting for 12.96 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Indonesia
Indonesia rounded out the top five import sources with $15,607,392 in June imports.
This country showed strong positive momentum with a +20.82 percent month-on-month increase.
Indonesia’s year-to-date total for animal fodder imports is $76,646,551, representing 3.30 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
