Brazil was the top origin in July, with import values reaching $110,711,482.
This represents a 17.01 percent month-on-month increase from June.
Brazil’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $372,967,247, accounting for 53.59 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
USA
The USA followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $21,330,412.
This figure indicates a 2.11 percent month-on-month increase.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these imports is $248,185,684, representing 35.66 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Canada
Canada secured the third position in July with imports totaling $6,044,533.
This indicates a -51.28 percent month-on-month decrease.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of soy beans is $59,436,262, making up 8.54 percent of the total YTD imports.
Other
The “Other” category contributed $437,562 worth of soy beans in July.
Notably, this category experienced a 223.86 percent month-on-month increase.
The year-to-date total for this category is $2,002,992, accounting for 0.29 percent of the total YTD imports.
Cambodia
Cambodia rounded out the top five import origins with $139,000 in July imports.
This country saw a -37.18 percent month-on-month decrease.
