Agriculture: Vietnam’s June 2025 Animal feed output hits 1.28 million tons, up 1.5 percent

Vietnam produced an estimated 1,281.5 thousand tons of animal feed in June 2025, rising from 1,263 thousand tons in May, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s National Statistics Office.

Total production for the first half of the year reached 7,266.9 thousand tons.

Key details:

  • June MoM growth: 1.5 percent
  • June YoY growth: 15.0 percent higher than June 2024
  • 6-month YoY growth: Up 9.7 percent compared to H1 2024

The rising trend in feed production underscores Vietnam’s growing protein demand and offers potential in feed additives, grain imports, and localised production partnerships.

Of note, Vietnam’s animal feed industry is a critical component of the country’s agricultural sector, experiencing sustained growth driven by rising domestic demand for meat, eggs, and dairy products.

The industry has become increasingly sophisticated, with both local and international companies investing in modern production facilities and technology.

This has led to a focus on trying to produce high-quality, nutritionally balanced feed that improves animal health and productivity.

Key players are constantly innovating to meet the specific needs of different livestock, from swine and poultry to aquaculture, a significant and growing market in Vietnam.
