Vietnam’s casual clothes production increases by 28.1% in February 2025

Vietnam’s casual clothes production has experienced strong growth in the first two months of 2025. According to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Office of Statistics, the country produced 456.0 million pieces of casual clothing in January 2025. In February, this figure decreased slightly to 445.4 million pieces.

The cumulative total for the first two months of the year reached 901.4 million pieces. This represents a 28.1 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the year-to-date figure reflects a 14.0 percent increase when compared to the first two months of 2024, showing robust growth in the sector.

Casual clothing continues to be a significant export product for Vietnam, driven by international demand for affordable and stylish garments.

The majority of casual clothing production takes place in Vietnam’s major textile and garment hubs, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and surrounding industrial areas. These regions house numerous factories focused on meeting both domestic and global market needs.
