This survey forms part of a broader write-up of the tourism industry which also states that:

  • Awareness of sustainable tourism is growing with 96.7 percent of respondents saying they were aware of this trend, up from 75.3 percent in 2022.
  • Consumers are willing to pay more for greener tourism products.
  • That businesses, 92.9 percent of them, expected policy changes that extended tourist visas and visa free periods will be key to the sector’s ongoing recovery.
