It compiles coverage from official outlets like Dan Tri, Tuoi Tre, and VN Express, highlighting the narratives currently shaping the country’s economic, financial, and business news landscape.

Tuoi Tre is reporting that Communist Party General Secretary To Lam will visit the United States from Wednesday to Friday to attend the first meeting of President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” in Washington.

Vietnam on EU tax blacklist
Maaal is reporting that European Union finance ministers added Vietnam, along with the Turks and Caicos Islands, to the European Union blacklist of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions on Tuesday.
Vietnam was listed after the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Global Forum found it did not meet standards for exchanging tax information upon request.
Vietnam had been removed from the European Union grey list in October, but now appears on the blacklist, which was established in December 2017 and is updated twice yearly.

Startup development obstacles
The Nation Thailand is reporting that Vietnam’s startup investment is slowing, with investors citing long airport immigration queues, limited e-gate systems and the absence of a startup visa as deterrents, according to Nikkei Asia.
Foreign investors face passport control waits of up to an hour on arrival and departure, while future operations may require transfers between Tan Son Nhat and Long Thanh airports, 50 kilometres apart.
Investors also point to foreign exchange restrictions and outbound remittance controls that require proof of fund origin and limit transfers to approved expenses.
These capital controls complicate global expansion, employee stock options and overseas listings, though Citi Vietnam said they support macro stability but may require gradual liberalisation.
