Vietnam, alongside India have been the big winners in Apple’s diversification out of China according to Bloomberg. Bloomberg has compiled Apple supplier data from 2012 to 2022 and found a huge expansion of Apple suppliers in the burgeoning Southeast Asian nation over the last five years or so. With comments from: Chris Miller, author of Chip War: The Fight for the World’s Most Critical Technology; Bloomberg Intelligence’s Steven Tsen; Veena Jha, chief executive officer of IKDHVAJ Advisers; Jeffrey Jaensubhakij, chief investment officer at Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC Pte; and Sonal Varma, an economist with Nomura Holdings Inc.
