In October, Europe accounted for 218,096 of Vietnam’s tourist arrivals, an increase of 35 percent from September, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Russia accounted for 66,534 tourist arrivals in October, up 13.80 percent compared to September.
A total of 27,736 tourists arrived from the UK, an increase of 40.40 percent from September.
France sent 26,552 visitors, up 55.90 percent month-on-month.
Arrivals from Germany reached 22,758, rising 34.70 percent.
And tourist numbers from Spain totalled 8,846, showing a rise of 7.40 percent versus September.

New origin tracing app
A new tourism app jointly developed by MobiFone and VNeTrip was launched in October that enables travellers to trace the origin of local specialities, helping to curb counterfeit goods and tax losses.
Launched in Ho Chi Minh City on 24 October, the platform is being piloted in An Giang, allowing users to book tours, buy regional products, and verify authenticity. Over 50 firms and 300 OCOP enterprises have joined the traceability system.
HCMC stimulus plans
In October, Ho Chi Minh City announced plans to accelerate economic growth by boosting domestic consumption and tourism.
Officials and experts emphasised easing administrative barriers, using tourism as a growth engine, and leveraging remittances.
Businesses highlight rising costs, unstable supply chains, and currency pressures as key challenges.
HCMC tourism data
Ho Chi Minh City recorded tourism revenue of VND 208.07 trillion or about US$7.9 billion in the first ten months of 2025, reaching nearly 72 percent of the annual target.
The city welcomed 6.5 million international visitors, up 17.7 percent year-on-year, and 33 million domestic tourists.
Cruise tourism rebound
Cruise tourism in Khanh Hoa has rebounded strongly, with 19 international ships bringing over 22,000 visitors so far this year and seven more expected by December, totalling 26 voyages — the highest since the pandemic.
Officials noted the sector attracts high-spending tourists, though experts urged more port investment, marketing, and cultural experiences to sustain growth.
