Vietnam’s VN-Index closed lower on Thursday, with broad declines across key indices as foreign investors accelerated net selling, according to the latest data from the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange → view source.
The VN-Index dropped 12.34 points, or 0.74 percent, to 1,652.71. The VN30 slipped 0.58 percent to 1,859.80, while mid- and small-cap indices posted steeper losses, with the VNMIDCAP down 1.85 percent.
Market turnover remained high at VND 22.8 trillion (US$872 million), driven by 832 million shares changing hands.
Leading gainers included VMD, NAF, and LSS, each rising nearly 7 percent, while VCF, DRH, and PMG were among the steepest decliners.
Foreign investors were decisive net sellers, offloading VND 3.99 trillion worth of shares while buying only VND 1.63 trillion, resulting in a net sell value of VND 2.36 trillion (US$90 million).
