Vietnam imported US$394.49 million of cashew nuts in August, down 9.68 percent from July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date imports stood at US$3.32 billion.
Cambodia was the largest supplier, shipping US$34.55 million in August and maintaining a dominant 42.81 percent share of year-to-date imports.
Ivory Coast followed with US$180.25 million in August, making up 18.52 percent of the total.
Nigeria’s shipments dropped sharply to US$32.12 million, while Ghana supplied US$53.47 million. Smaller volumes came from Tanzania and Indonesia.
The data underscores Vietnam’s continued reliance on African suppliers, with Cambodia’s proximity offering steady supply but Ivory Coast leading in volume.
