Vietnam’s animal feed production continued its upward trend in April 2025, with an estimated 1.23 million tons produced, according to preliminary data from the National Statistics Office. This represents a 9.3 percent increase compared to April last year.
Cumulatively, the country produced 4.72 million tons of animal feed over the first four months of 2025, up 7.7 percent year-on-year. March output was recorded at 1.21 million tons, showing steady month-on-month growth leading into April.
The rise suggests a continued recovery and expansion in Vietnam’s livestock and aquaculture sectors, both of which heavily depend on domestic feed supply. The increase may also reflect stronger demand for exports and efforts to stabilise domestic prices amid high input costs.
Vietnam’s growing animal feed output signals resilience in the agricultural supply chain and positions the country to support rising meat production and export demand.
