Vietnam’s animal feed industry
Vietnam’s animal feed industry is one of the largest in Southeast Asia, supporting the country’s expanding livestock and aquaculture sectors.
Output is driven by strong domestic demand for pork, poultry, and seafood, with feed production exceeding 20 million tonnes annually.
The market is dominated by foreign-invested firms alongside large domestic players, with heavy reliance on imported raw materials such as corn and soybean meal.
Rising input costs, supply chain volatility, and regulatory changes continue to shape the sector, while opportunities exist in premium, functional, and sustainable feed products.
